This is a day for the entire family.  \n10 am to 3 pm – First Floor \nChildren’s Program: Drop In Black History Collage Art Activity \nTour: Roland Freeman’s Arabbers: Life in the City Streets Exhibition \n10 am to 4 pm – Second Floor  \n\nChildren’s Animated Short Film: Dropping in on Romare Bearden (20 minutes) – 10am & 10:30am\n\n  \n\nArt Film: Black is the Color (52 minutes) – 11am & 3pm\n\n  \nExhibit Expressions Dance Showcases by  Dance Baltimore – 1 pm & 2 pm \n\nDance Ensemble will present dance interpretations of artist Romare Bearden and his artwork.  \nUS Postal Service Gregory Hines’ Stamp Dedication @ 1pm\n\nTour: Romare Bearden: Visionary Artist Exhibition \nPop Up Musical Program:  Baltimore Symphony Musicians – Noon                                             \n               Musicians will perform African American spirituals and the jazz selection Sea Breeze composed by Romare Bearden.    \nNoon – 2:30 pm – Maryland Permanent Collection \n\nHeritage Museum Tours (30 minutes) – Noon\, 1:30pm\, 2:30pm    \n\nRefreshments will be served on the 2nd floor while supplies last. \n

DESCRIPTION:Dance and Musical Showcases: Exhibit Expressions Saturday\, February 23\, 1 pm &  2 pm\n\nExplore visionary artist Romare Bearden’s works and life through the world of dance.  Dance Baltimore Repertory Ensemble will perform dance interpretations based on his works. Visitors will view Bearden’s works following the showcase. In conjunction with Romare Bearden: Visionary Artist\n \n\n\nUS Postal Services Gregory Hines Stamp Dedication at 1pm\n\nJoin  United States Postmaster Ms. Ross-Rawlins in the unveiling of the Gregory Hines Commemorative Forever Stamp at the 1 pm dance presentation by Dance Baltimore and the tap ensemble\, Tapsichore. This will be the 42nd Stamp in the Black Heritage Series.  The new stamp will be available for purchase during this event from Noon to 3 pm.\n \n\nMusical Showcase: Baltimore Symphony Musicians\nNoon – 12:30 pm\n\nEnjoy Romare Bearden’s art works with musical selections by Baltimore Symphony Musicians in the Romare Bearden: Visionary Artist Exhibition.
