Learn the basics of genealogy in the Lewis Museum’s Resource Center and start writing your family story. This program is the first in a series of genealogy programs to be hosted by the Lewis Museum. SUMMARY:Girl Scouts Event: Celebrate 100 Years of Women's Right to Vote!
DESCRIPTION:Learn about the suffrage movement that resulted in the ratification of the 19th Amendment to the United States Constitution. Experience a living history portrayal of  Sojourner Truth\,  learn about Maryland  African American women who empowered women and men to exercise their right to vote\, “vote” at a polling machine and participate in activities that explore and celebrate women’s history. This program is in partnership with Girl Scouts of Central Maryland and in celebration of the 100th Anniversary of the 19th Amendment.
